While training on the beach today, we noticed this sky show above us!
Moments like this are wonderful opportunities to get our students more interested in the sky. This though was a new one for me too. I had previously seen other pictures, but this view sent me running for the camera! :-)
These are created by the reflection of the sunlight of millions of Ice crystals in the sky.
Interestingly, all points on the curve are and the same angular elevation as the sun.
